As we swing into spring, the Kirkwood Community Center is buzzing with wonderful free events!

Offered through Kirkwood Public Library, the Kirkwood Safety Series continues its discussion of emergency preparedness for the whole family! The city of Kirkwood’s Director of Safety and Emergency Management, Christian Dunman, will be addressing planning and preparation on Thursday, March 9th from 6:30-7:30pm.

Take a foray into St. Louis’ history in aviation! Join us for St. Louis Aeronauts and Beyond, part of the One Book, One Kirkwood celebration for the book Flight of Dreams by Ariel Lawhon. This exciting historical presentation will take place on Saturday, March 18th from 2:00-3:30pm.

Get into gear with the Hot Wheel and Slot Car Swap meet! Meet other enthusiasts and collectors on Sunday, March 26th from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

Finally, join us for the One Book, One Kirkwood Author talk by Ariel Lawhon to discuss her historical novel, Flight of Dreams! On Wednesday, March 29th, the author will join us to discuss our One Book selection for this year.

Heather Arnold works in Reference and Administration at Kirkwood Public Library.  She is currently reading Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K. Jerome, and dreaming of a float down a lazy river.
