Everybody loves new tech.  Well, check it out:  Kirkwood Public Library has launched a new and redesigned Website. Click here to see it.  And here is a guest blog from Chelsea Bedley telling you all about it.

Wednesday, March 2, marks the launch of Kirkwood Public Library’s new Website!  We have redesigned the site to provide more functionality, usability and ease to users. It was important to us that our Website meet the needs of our patrons and community in 2016. We’re especially excited that the Website is now mobile friendly, which means you can easily view it from the convenience of your smart phone, tablet, or computer.

The site is now more streamlined and easier to navigate.  Our library blogs are hosted directly on the site, so whether you are an adult, kid or teen, you can check out our recommendations for your next great read. Kids and Teens have their own pages, which include information on our most useful online resources, services, and collections. Looking for our upcoming events? Our calendar has been redesigned with a sleeker look that allows you to sort programs based on the topic and keyword. You can also register for programs right on the site.

We are also introducing Hoopla, a digital streaming service for movies, books, audiobooks, comics and more! This will allow patrons to simultaneously view the same book, movie, or music without having to wait. Kirkwood Public Library is also excited about the launch of our digital collection, an online repository of photos, documents and more that chronicle the history of Kirkwood, Missouri, and its people. We can’t wait to see what you think!
