Book Sale at KPL!

The Friends of the Kirkwood Public Library will hold a book sale on May 29 and 30 in the Library, 140 E. Jefferson Avenue, Kirkwood. The sale will feature a variety of books, including children’s books, fiction, mystery, history, biography, art, cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and more.

The hours of the sale are Friday, May 29 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is no entry fee. Book prices are generally in the $.50 to $3.00 range, with payment by cash or check. No credit or debit cards.  All proceeds benefit the Kirkwood Public Library. The Friends of the Kirkwood Public Library is an active group of over 400 library fans whose dedication and fund-raising efforts have helped the Library in numerous ways over the years, with everything from increasing materials to supporting programs to purchasing technology and furniture.  Besides collecting book donations and holding regular book sales, they also run the library shop, Books and Beyond.  Stop by the next time you are in the library to say hello and take a peek at the books, cards, and gifts they have to offer!  For more information on how to fundraise and become involved in charitable causes visit the third floor nonfiction section of the library.
