There are lots of things to look forward to now that spring is here and summer is just around the corner!  Here’s a look at a few of the exciting things happening in Kirkwood as we look forward to warmer weather.

This weekend the Kirkwood Farmers’ Market is back for its 39th season!  There will be a variety of produce, meats, eggs, cheeses, local products, flowers and food trucks all spring and summer long. Don’t forget that the Farmer’s Market also has special events.  For a full listing of vendors and events, click here.

The pool will be opening on May 23rd, and you can stop by the Community Center now to get your resident ID cards and purchase your season pass!  Click here for complete listing of hours, classes and fees.  Kirkwood Public Library’s Book Caboose, built by Riggs Construction, will be returning to the pool this year.  Be sure to pick up a book as you relax by the pool!

One Book, One Kirkwood, a community-wide reading event for all ages will kick off this summer at the Kirkwood Public Library.  All the books feature a magical/mysterious bookstore or library.  Watch the library website to learn more about upcoming programming and an unconventional author visit!

Emma DeLooze-Klein is the Director of Adult and Community Services. She is currently reading The Mockingbird Next Door by Marja Mills. Visit your Kirkwood Public Library at 140 E. Jefferson Avenue, or call us at 821-5770. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
