The Kirkwood Public Library will be hosting an art reception for Susan Zimmerman on Friday March 6th from 5:30-6:30pm. Zimmerman is a local artist currently hosting her “Light through a Window” collection in the library’s art gallery located in the computer lab. This is a non-manipulated photographic collection capturing different stages of the life of a ceramic vessel utilizing only the sun to highlight atmosphere and form through shadow and light. Find books on art by visiting the library’s catalog.

Also see art at the Kirkwood Train Station sponsored by the Kirkwood Arts Commission to see a full schedule of 2015 artists visit here.  The next reception will be Thursday March 5th at 5:30pm for Fred Baugh who works in photography.

At the Kirkwood Community Center on Saturday March 7th and Sunday March 8th from 10am to 4pm visit the St. Louis Artist’s Boutique. It is their 50th anniversary to learn more visit their website at artistboutique.org.

Interested in displaying your own art? The library will be accepting applications from local artist from now through Friday May 1, 2015 for the August 2015-August 2016 display period.
