Santa’s elves are extra busy this time of year.  Aside from making presents, did you know that they are working hard to help you and avoid fines at the library?

Here are the top 5 reasons you should sign up for Library Elf:

  1. You’ll have fewer fines when you turn on automatic renewal (on eligible items)!  You will receive an e-mail if Library Elf is unable to renew your items.
  2. Track your library card activity, including items checked out, requested and returned.
  3. Forgot the title of that book you loved?  Library Elf can also help you capture your checkout history!  Materials checked out prior to your sign up date will not be tracked.
  4. You can keep track of multiple card numbers on one account!  This is perfect for families, or individuals who want to keep track of their Municipal Library Consortium and St. Louis County Library cards in one place.
  5. Customize your e-mail or text notifications to remind you about upcoming due dates, overdue items, and holds that are ready for pickup.

Head on over to to get signed up now!  You can find the link to Library Elf under “My Library Account” on the left-hand side of the page.
