December and January Happenings in Kirkwood

It’s a busy time of year, so be sure to mark your calendars for these exciting upcoming events:

For some Christmas cheer before the big day, strap on the ice skates and come Skate With Santa!
Santa is coming to the Kirkwood Ice Arena for a visit! Come skate with him during the public session! Normal admission policies and prices apply. Saturday December 20th, 1:30-4 pm.

The Downtown Kirkwood Winter Fireworks Festival returns this year and is scheduled for Saturday, December 27. Before the fireworks display, local musical group Project 324 will perform at Station Plaza and dancers from West County Swing Dance Club, U Can Dance Studio and Downtown Kirkwood’s Lucille Rapp Dance Studio will also perform at Station Plaza. Entertainment at Station Plaza will take place on two stages from 5-6:30 p.m. Fireworks display begins at 6:30 p.m. from Kirkwood City Hall. Unfavorable Weather Date: December 28

Stop by the Children’s Room at your Kirkwood Library anytime between 1 and 3 pm on Monday December 29th for a December Holiday Hunt. You’ll hunt for clues, solve riddles and win a prize!


Think warm thoughts and get organized for summer by attending How to Get a Summer Job with the U.S. Government on Saturday, January 3, 2015 2 pm at your Kirkwood Library. Do you like to work outside, work at campgrounds, state parks?  Find out how to apply for these very popular jobs.


And get ready to head back to school by snuggling up with a furry Champ Reading Dog in the Children’s Room at the library, Sunday January 4th, 3-4 pm.
