It’s National Friends of the Library Week October 19-25, and on behalf of the library, I would like to take a moment to thank the Friends of the Kirkwood Public Library for all their hard work throughout the year!  Since 1978, the Friends have worked to raise money to support library services and provide volunteers to help with various library functions.  Recently, the Friends have donated funds to purchase Hot Reads titles, matched grant funds that provided exciting new technology like our large format printer, and contributed to KPL’s endowment fund.

Help us celebrate by becoming a Friend of the Kirkwood Public Library!  Applications are available in the library and online at: http://www.kpl.lib.mo.us/pages/all-ages/all-users/join-donate-friends

Being a Friend has its benefits; for the basic membership you will receive the Friends newsletter, 10% discount in Books & Beyond (located in the library), advance notice of the sale of special books, admission to the annual English Tea, and reduced admission to Friends events!
