It matters not how a man dies, but how he lives. — Samuel Johnson

Today we say goodbye to a good friend, Tim Rajchart, the City’s Water Department Director, who died yesterday, Sunday, April 15, after suffering a heart attack.

Tim was 58 and had worked for the City for 34 years.  Tim began his career with the City of Kirkwood on February 27, 1978, as a meter repair/plant operator. On September 17, 1979, he was promoted to Leadman of Support Services. On December 29, 1986, Tim was promoted to Acting Water Department Director and then to Department Director on April 6, 1987.

He had a kind heart and a great sense of humor.  Tim is survived by his wife Karen and their two daughters. As additional details become available, we will update this post.
